Digital Fashion Shooting

Universal lockdown prevented us from going outside but it didn’t stop our creativity. Digital Fashion shoots became a trend that we feel like will stay in the industry forever – so to celebrate the births of this phenomenon we teamed up with a hot Silicon Valley startup Piqls that automated our first digital fashion shoot.

AkaNanita is a Georgian, Tbilisi-based brand, and in 2008 debuted her collection at Tbilisi Fashion Week. Since then, she has become one of the most prolific and highly professional designers in Georgia. Starting from 2009. In addition, she has shown her collections at Ukrainian Fashion Week in Kyiv and MBFW Russia. Her collections include RTW, jewelry, and accessories. Aka Nanita is developing and creating exquisite items, which delight stylish people.

CHAKSHYN is a Kiev-based womenswear label exploring the dualities between feminine and masculine. Transformative, deconstructed silhouettes present an elegant but edgy aesthetic. Trench coats are a brand staple, surfacing in every collection with a twist. CHAKSHYN kicked off with a catwalk show at Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days in September 2015. Two years later, the brand debuted in Paris, joining More Dash multi-label showroom. In September 2017, CHAKSHYN showcased at Italy’s Pitti Super with More Dash: Eye on the East. In 2018, CHAKSHYN was awarded the Best Ukrainian Womenswear Label by Kiev Fashion Prize, joined the Fashion Hub Market, a platform for emerging brands during Milan Fashion Week, and held a catwalk show at Budapest Central European Fashion Week.

Daniele Carlotta – Born in Sicily in 1985 to a fine fabrics merchant known as “Signora Della Seta”, Daniele Carlotta started to develop his stylistic path between the walls of his family house, surrounded by fabrics, yarns and fine materials. Fascinated by the mastery of couture, he launched his own atelier in Milan in 2005, creating a vision that combines the finest quality fabrics, perfect silhouettes and unique jewel details. His sartorial collections balance Italian style and craftsmanship with a strong sensitivity for the art world. Beyonce, Kendall Jenner, Karisma Kapoor, Madison Pettis and number of other celebrities choose Daniele Carlotta for red carpet, music videos and events.

“Veteran Georgian designer Tamuna Ingorokva typically centers her collection around masculine cuts, a design philosophy that she has long believed “channels a strong female energy.” – Vogue US.
INGOROKVA womenswear was established by Georgian Tamuna Ingorokva in 2002. Tamuna Ingorokva is predominantly famed for her specific silk and leather works with refined aesthetics. The label enjoys national and international recognition and a devoted following – spotted in Ingorokva were Lady Gaga, Doutzen Kroes and Linda Rodin to name a few.

JING YU (IT)

JING YU established her namesake project in Milan in 2017 after graduating from Marangoni Institute. The designer offers tailored separates and dresses with a clean, minimalistic and yet innovative aesthetic, valuing craftsmanship and fine fabrics.
JING YU is getting noticed in the industry, becoming a finalist of  Who Is On Next?2019, and later taking part in Tranoi’s pop-up store at the Galeries Lafayette in Paris. Her FW19 collection was presented at MBFW Russia as part of Mercedes-Benz Global Talents platform.

Kobi Halperin (US)

For the women who “celebrate getting dressed every day,” Kobi is known for his unique designs and his love for details. Deeply inspired by his Eastern European roots and heritage, Kobi’s  Halperin collections are marked with a feeling of warm tradition felt in the handcrafted touch and workmanship that embody his aesthetic.
In 2015, Kobi launched his eponymous ready-to-wear label. The label embodies a European sensibility and is recognized by its crafted artisan details and modern femininity. With a design philosophy that aims to elevate the everyday, Kobi’s collections are made with luxurious fabrics and beautiful hand-worked embellishments.

MARAM (CA)

MARAM, meaning ‘aspiration’ in old-arabic, was launched in 2014 by the egyptian designer Maram Aboul Enein. After moving to paris to study at the prestigious Parsons, Maram trained under legendary fashion names such as Zac Posen and Pierre Balmain before deciding to launch her own label.
Maram’s collections are defined as an intricate merge of various traditional craftsmanship techniques with unconventional design. The careful fusion of quilting, embroidery and intricately panelled construction define the brand’s statement looks.
The brand defines it’s vision as ‘off-duty luxury’. MARAM is sustainably sourced, ethically manufactured and consciously created.

Istituto Marangoni graduate Marianna Senchina from Ukraine founded her namesake label in 2015. Marianna enjoys wide success with her feminine and ironic designs, meticulously crafted to emphasize a frilly and romantic attitude. “SPARKLING IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA” is the motto of NUÉ, a partywear brand inspired by the roaring twenties and old Hollywood glamour. Launched in Kyiv in 2019, it celebrates the concept of prêt-á-party as a bold addition to the modern minimalist wardrobe.

T-dress (UA)

T-dress –  is the first digitally native fashion brand of party-dresses, for those who love to stand out from the crowd, have fun and feel comfortable. Known for vivid eye-catchy dresses, which are made on the base of oversize cotton T-shirt, decorated by hand with fancy decor. 
In 2017, addressing the fast-changing pace of fashion, the duo launched the brand with new business model,  by cutting out the middleman and relying on prioritising in-house online retail, building engaged community in social media, and developing strong relations with influencers. It’s a fashion start-up, easily scaled owing to the heavily focus on one type of product – T-dress. The brand releasing about 12 drops per year, that reflect the latest fashion trends.

W11 Studio (UK)

Based in the heart of London’s West End district, W11 Studio is a contemporary womenswear RTW and jewellery brand. 
The W11 woman is independent, cool, metropolitan and slightly androgynous, a woman who likes to feel comfortable – therefor confident – in what she wears. She doesn’t need a closet full of fancy clothes to dress up: she knows her favourites, her basics, her character and she styles her outfits depending on the occasion, demanding for versatility.
W11Studio is simple yet modern cuts and thoughtful details. The soft contrast between femininity and masculinity is at the core of the brand.

19:04 (RU)

19.04 is a London based womenswear run by Moscow native sisters, Vera and Central Saint Martins graduate Love Mikheenko. Debuting in 2017, the sisters draw inspiration from unique and unconventional looks of real and fictional style icons. Their staple romantic dresses and separates hint at a sophisticated and a bit flamboyant character.

Acephala (PL)

Acephala is a Warsaw-based label founded in 2014 by Monika Kędziora and Bartek Korzeniowski. The duo creates tailored pieces with experimental proportions and witty detailing, aiming to subvert stereotypical notions of femininity. Intellectual references to the history of feminism and women’s art are incorporated into design process and narrative prints which became a signature of the brand.

Amal Al Mulla from Bahrain launched her ready-to-wear label in 2014. Amal strives to create a wardrobe of versatile feminine pieces, starting each collection with a storyboard inspired by nature and escapism.  Today her line of effortlessly chic dresses and separates is followed by ladies across the region and translates well to the global audience. Key stockists include Saks Fifth Avenue Bahrain.

Georgian-born Anouki Areshidze launched her namesake brand ANOUKI in 2013. The brand now offers RTW womenswear, footwear and accessories, boasts over 25+ stockists worldwide and operates a flagship in Georgian capital.One of the more established talents from the bustling fashion hotspot Tbilisi, Anouki become known for her feminine, free-spirited designs. ARWA AL BANAWI (SA)

Growing up in Jeddah, Saudi designer Arwa Al Banawi got an early fashion education from her stylish parents who inspired her love for uniquely tailored points of view. Designing for the empowered woman, her garments feature clever and comfortable elements mixed in with the chic aesthetic making the pieces easy to travel and work in. With blazers, signature t-shirts and hoodies; Arwa features a happy mix of functional yet chic pieces with impactful story-telling elements that are sure to steal onlookers attention.

Chakshyn (UA)

Chakshyn by Dima Chayun and Anton Yakshyn is a young, emerging label in Ukraine. Over the past few seasons, the duo has focused on safe, classic categories, like cocktailwear with simple cuts. But this collection, inspired by Japan and cyberpunks, was a breakout moment. The designers were more experimental, working with knitwear made from varying weaves, as well as denim, producing flares and midi skirts with zipper pleats.

Dalood (GE)

Upon graduating from Central Saint Martins, Tbilisi native Maka Kvitsiani relocated to Moscow to open up a boutique that championed newcomer Georgian designers. In 2014, Maka turned to design herself and joined her mother at Dalood, their decades-old RTW label with an experienced team of professionals valued for masterful tailoring and impeccable craftsmanship. With Maka at the helm as creative director, tailoring is key to Dalood’s strong and daring pieces that embody understated sophistication.

Pink Magnolia (MX)

Leading the charge for the “pink revolution”, sisters Paola and Pamela Wong are the entrepreneurs behind Mexican label Pink Magnolia.
At only 21 years old, Paola found herself with a growing demand for her eye catching custom designs. Her sister Pamela jumped onboard, and Pink Magnolia ready-to-wear quickly gained traction both locally and on a global scale, collaborating with Disney and Barbie among others.
With features in WWD, Vogue Mexico & Latin America, Marie Claire Hong Kong, and a spot amongst Forbes Magazine’s “Under 30 Rising Stars,” Pink Magnolia is aiming to “forge a path for the woman who shines inside and out”.

Rayane Bacha (LB)

Lebanese born, Rayane Bacha’s passion for the art of dressmaking stems from her youth spent drawing and creating garments for herself. She had her first taste of the design world at the Lebanese American University graduating with a Bachelor in Graphic Design. Feeling there was more to the world of design she needed to explore, she decided to pursue her goal receiving a degree in Fashion Design from Istituto Marangoni, Milan.She began her career as a designer under Elie Saab, at his eponymous couture house, followed by internships with designers such as Tony Ward. With growing passion and love for design, Rayane Bacha opens the doors to her own Atelier de Couture.

Romy Collection is a Dubai-based womenswear label designed by Romy Hourani, the daughter of a Swedish father and a Haitian mother. After studying fashion styling at FIT in NYC and some years in the industry, she turned to design and founded her eponymous label in 2017.  
Romy’s love for fashion grew as she watched her mother get dressed every day – the classic, vintage silhouettes an undeniable inspiration in every piece.  Her signature are feminine and flowy vintage-inspired dresses, skirts and bodysuits. 
Spotted on Karen Wazen and Mona Kattan,  Romy Collection has been featured in Vogue Arabia, Mojeh and L’officiel Middle East, to name a few.

T-Dress is based in Kyiv, Ukraine  – a simple T-shirt transformed into a full-blown party dress, the cosmopolitan label’s mono-product is based on an oversized comfortable tee that flatters any figure.All T-dresses are heavily decorated – with natural ostrich feathers, either as a trim or a cloud-like all-over finish, shiny crystals and mirrored plastics or matte and sparkly fringing.

Vikele Studio is a contemporary Ukrainian bag label, founded by Viktoria – a mother of two and a former luxury bags buyer with 7 years of experience. All products are produced in-house by skilled local artisans from leathers and hardware she personally sources in Italy.Viktoria’s inspiration are the women around her, most of them working mothers. Vikele covers all day and evening occasions with a wide style range – from tote bags and backpacks to small elegant purses – and a variety of leather and color options.

White Night womenswear was founded in 2018 by Clare Holden and is based in Barcelona. The city inspires the label’s minimalist Mediterranean aesthetic, self-described as organic luxury.
Clare creates elevated basics made from organic cottons and understated evening wear, mixing classic silhouettes with subtle elegance. All White Night collections are produced in Barcelona using locally sourced fabrics and certified organic cottons.

On the 20th of June, More Dash welcomed all fashion society in their new marvellous space in Paris. 

Fashion Tech Summit or the conference of innovations, that’s how Natalia Modenova-the host of the event and co-founder of the More Dash showroom called it, was held to show on the successful cases how fashion and technology can work together, to show designers that nowadays you can’t neglect the fact that technologies are getting in to all spheres of our life.
